Allison Hooser
(Outpatient Physical Therapist)
Hi! My name is Allison. I have been a part of the PediPlay family since 2018, treating pediatrics and adults. Since graduating from the University of Indianapolis Masters of Physical Therapy program in 2003, I have had a wide variety of experiences helping individuals and their families achieve their goals of having the best quality of life possible. I started my career focusing on orthopedics for both adults and adolescents in the outpatient clinic, then adding pediatrics over the course of the next several years. This unique experience has enabled me to address the orthopedic issues of the younger population, while at the same time addressing the care needed as young adults and children. While orthopedic issues are similar, treating from a “kid” perspective allowed for a more positive health experience, thus maximizing functional outcomes to get them back to their activities quicker. I have worked with adults and children with disorders including, but no limited to, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, spina bifida, neurological disorders, gait assessments, developmental delays, and congenital abnormalities. I have expertise in treating all types of neck, shoulder, back, knee, ankle, and foot disorders and injuries. I am graston certified and use this in addition to my other manual therapy skills to maximize my patient’s treatment for the best possible outcome. I am excited to continue these skills in PediPlay’s orthopedic division, MyPTIndy. MyPTIndy will provide services to the adult orthopedic population as well as a specialized focus on orthopedic issues in adolescents and children.
