Terry Radici
(Patient Referral Nurse )
I am a master’s prepared registered nurse who has been in the healthcare industry for 30+ years, working with both children and adults. I have worked as an ICU nurse, homecare nurse, legal nurse, school nurse and nursing faculty member.
Advocating for children with special healthcare needs has always been important to me, both personally and professionally. Whether I am attending a 504 meeting, an IEP meeting, or a discharge meeting from an ICU; I consistently work to make the child the focus of the discussion we might be having. I am especially passionate about educating children, families and professionals about the very unique needs of medically complex children.
I believe that parents are the most integral part of their child’s ongoing medical, educational and therapy programs. My goal is to support them in their efforts as they navigate the many programs their child may need to access. My role here in PediPlay includes reviewing any medical records which have been received and contacting parents to obtain pertinent medical histories about their children prior to their initial therapy evaluation.
I am excited to collaborate with the PediPlay team in their provision of therapy services to the children living in our nearby communities. I am especially honored to speak with so many individual parents who work tirelessly in providing the love, commitment, and advocacy on behalf of these same children. The strength of a partnership such as this can only enhance our children’s lives, as well as our own.
